On Sunday 5th August St. Ita’s will hosted a lovely selection of workshops to encourage and promote creativity and hands on making for kids of all ages. These interactive workshops gave kids the opportunity to explore their handy side and can-do attitude.
We were pleased to be to offer you workshop tickets online in 2018 and partnered with the secure online ticketing service Ticketebo for the provision of our tickets.
2018 Workshops were a huge success and enjoyed by all the kids. Below are the details of the workshops that were offered on Sunday 5th August.
Bring a Plate Dance
Age: All Ages – Adults & Kids
Cost: $15
Time: 1:30pm (1hr)
Room: Hall
Parents join your kids in an all inclusive casual dance class based on coming together, sharing, diversity and party vibes. Erika & Zoe from Bring A Plate will show you some funky dance moves that will get you moving and shaking and having loads of fun. Don’t be shy, this one is for all of us to enjoy and have a laugh.
Clay Magicland
Age: 4 and up
Cost: $20
Time: 11:30am (1hr)
Room: 3A
Using a range of materials kids use their creative talent to make their very own special little magic land. Anna Yum will guide kids and bring some interactive making fun for kids to enjoy. http://www.studioannayum.com.au
Flower Crown
Age: 10 years and up
Cost: $35
Time: 2pm (1.5hrs)
Room: 6B
Run by expert florist Monica Katsanevas from Bloomberry, kids will have available to them a beautiful selection of seasonal fresh flowers and will be guided with crafting and weaving flowers and foliage into a stunning crown.
Working together to construct a mini skateboard ramp
Age: 10 years & up
Cost: $20
Time: 11am (1.5hrs)
Room: 5B
Run by Tim Clarke, kids will work together to assemble a skateboard ramp from pre-cut materials. This interactive workshop gives kids the opportunity to understand what is required to construct a larger item and encourages teamwork to produce something together.
This mini skateboard ramp will be offered for a silent auction after the workshop with all proceeds going towards resources for our children.
Sorry – NO SKATEBOARDS. Due to health and safety kids will not be able to bring their skateboards along to gather.FESTIVAL.
3D Printing
Age: 9 and up
Cost $20
Time: 11:30am OR 2:30pm (1hr)
Room: 3B
BRING: Your own laptop with internet access
Ever wondered how to print objects in 3D? In this workshop Steph Piper will show kids how to create in 3D on their own computer and then print their creation using a 3D printer.
Please Note: You are responsible for your own laptop. Children should give laptops to parents straight after the workshop.
Succulent Plant Tree House
Age: 6 and up
Cost $20
Time: 10am (1hr)
Room: 3A
Anna Yum will guide kids with making a special little house to perch up in the foliage of a succulent plant. Kids will love this sweet and adorable miniature tree house they have created. www.studioannayum.com.au
Servicing your Scooter
Age: 8 years and up
Cost: $20
Time: 1:30pm (1hr)
Room: 5B
BRING: Your own Scooter
This is a fantastic opportunity for kids to understand what is required to maintain and take care of their own things and encourages their mechanical side. Run by Tim Clarke, in this workshop kids will take apart their scooter, clean parts and rebuild.
Cactus Canvas
Age: 4 and up
Cost: $20
Time: 1:30pm (1hr)
Room: 3A
Create a masterpiece with paint and collage and have some prickly fun with Anna Yum as she shows kids how to produce their own gorgeous cactus canvas. http://www.studioannayum.com.au
Scribble Bots
Age: 8 and up

In this workshop, Steph Piper will show kids how to wire up and build their very own scribble robot. Perfect for little electrical engineers
Weaving Vessels
Age: 10 years and up (adults welcome)
Cost: $20
Time: 12pm (1.5hrs)
Room: 6A
Local craftsman Jimmy Eng will teach you weaving techniques to create a sculptural vessel for the home from lovely natural materials. You’ll be sure to want to display your unique and beautifully handmade object that you have created with pride.
